London: Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang has affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to improving its investment environment and creating favourable conditions for foreign enterprises, including those from the United Kingdom. The statement was made during his meeting in London with the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy Matt Western as part of his recent working trip to the UK and Italy.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored Vietnam’s efforts to attract more UK businesses by enhancing the legal and regulatory framework to facilitate smoother operations for foreign investors. Minister Thang emphasized the importance of the UK as a strategic partner and expressed Vietnam’s readiness to support UK enterprises in navigating the Vietnamese market.
The discussions also covered potential sectors where UK businesses could explore opportunities in Vietnam, including renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure. Both parties recognized the mutual benefits of strengthening economic ties and agreed to continue dialogues to address any challenges UK companies might face in Vietnam.
