Hanoi: Vietnam has assumed the rotating chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA), with Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Ngo Minh Nguyet presiding over the 42nd regular meeting at the Vietnamese Embassy on March 19. The meeting was attended by ambassadors from ASEAN member states, including Indonesian Ambassador Sulaiman Syarif, Malaysian Ambassador Nur Azman, Philippine Ambassador Grace T. Cruz-Fabella, and Thai Ambassador Krit Tankanarat.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the handover of the chairmanship marks an important role for Vietnam in fostering collaboration among ASEAN members in Argentina. The gathering of ambassadors highlights the commitment of these nations to work together on issues of mutual interest and enhance diplomatic relations within the region. The ACBA serves as a platform for dialogue and cooperation, promoting the values and objectives of ASEAN in South America.
