Vietnam, Australia Strengthen Parliamentary Cooperation

Hanoi: Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Doan Anh and Deputy Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Sharon Claydon discussed measures to strengthen cooperation between the two legislatures during their meeting in Canberra on August 12.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing collaborative efforts in legislative processes and mutual understanding between the two countries. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening ties to address common challenges and promote shared interests.

The discussions also included potential areas for increased cooperation, such as economic development, education, and climate change. Both parties expressed a commitment to continuing dialogue and exchange programs to further solidify the partnership between Vietnam and Australia.
