Mong Cai: The Vietnam and China Coast Guard forces conducted their first joint patrol of 2025 in the northern waters of the Gulf of Tonkin on February 27. The patrol covered the sea area off Mong Cai city in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam, and Dongxing city and Fangchenggang city in Guangxi province, China. The joint patrol aimed to strengthen cooperation in combating crimes and law violations at sea.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this collaborative effort marks a significant step in enhancing maritime security and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations’ coast guard forces. Both countries are focused on maintaining peace and stability in the region through such coordinated activities.
