Vietnam, China, Laos, Myanmar Launch Joint Anti-Drug Crime Crackdown

Hanoi: Representatives of Vietnam, China, Laos, and Myanmar convened in Hanoi on June 2 to discuss the implementation of a collaborative three-month anti-drug campaign. The meeting underscored the commitment of the four nations to tackle the escalating drug crime activities impacting their regions.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Public Security, highlighted the urgency for cooperation among these countries. He emphasized that Vietnam, China, Laos, and Myanmar, which share borders and hold critical strategic positions, are experiencing direct challenges from the increasingly complex drug crime activities. The joint effort aims to strengthen regional security and combat the drug trade more effectively over the coming months.
