Hanoi: Vietnam has emerged as one of the destinations drawing strong interest from Indonesian travellers at the ASTINDO Travel Fair 2026, taking place in Jakarta from August 20-23. Organised by the Indonesian Travel Agents Association (ASTINDO), the event brings together airlines, travel companies and tourism partners from Indonesia and abroad, with the aim of attracting more than 40,000 visitors and promoting tourism products, tours and special offers to stimulate domestic and international travel.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the fair serves as a significant platform for Vietnam to showcase its diverse travel offerings to a broader audience. The country is looking to capitalize on the growing enthusiasm for travel among Indonesians, who are increasingly exploring new international destinations. Vietnam's participation includes promotional campaigns highlighting its cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and culinary experiences, which are key attractions for potential tourists.
The ASTINDO Travel Fair 2026 is expected to not only boost tourism between Indonesia and Vietnam but also strengthen the relationship between travel operators from both countries. By facilitating connections and promoting travel packages, the event aims to increase the flow of tourists and contribute to the economic growth of the involved nations.
