Vietnam Eyes Stronger Cooperation with Venezuelan Localities

Hanoi: Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My paid a working visit to Trujillo State from February 28 to March 2 to explore cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and the Latin American nation, particularly in trade and agriculture. The Vietnamese diplomat had a working session with Governor of Trujillo State Gerardo Marquez, during which he highlighted Vietnam’s economic, trade, and investment achievements over nearly 40 years of its ‘Doi moi’ (renewal) process.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and open new avenues for collaboration. Ambassador Vu Trung My emphasized the potential for increased trade and agricultural exchanges, considering Vietnam’s progress since the implementation of its ‘Doi moi’ reform policy. The discussions also focused on identifying areas where both nations could benefit from mutual cooperation, especially in leveraging Vietnam’s experience in economic development.

The Vietnamese envoy’s visit underscores Vietnam’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and expanding its influence in the Latin American region. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance Vietnam’s global economic ties and strengthen its presence in key markets.
