Tokyo: The Vietnam Festival in Japan, poised to enter its 18th edition, is scheduled to take place on May 30-31 at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo. The festival is anticipated to draw over 180,000 visitors, marking an increase from the approximately 140,000 attendees last year. This annual event aims to be a platform for showcasing Vietnamese culture, cuisine, and traditional arts, while also serving as a symbol of the strong friendship and close ties between Vietnam and Japan. Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, Pham Quang Hieu, emphasized the festival's significance during a press conference held on May 12, noting its role in promoting Vietnam's image and facilitating people-to-people exchanges.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the festival is celebrated as the largest annual Vietnamese event in Japan, designed to enhance cultural ties and mutual understanding between the two nations. The gathering not only highlights the vibrant culture and heritage of Vietnam but also strengthens bilateral relationships through cultural diplomacy and engagement. The festival aims to foster a deeper connection among attendees, offering them an opportunity to experience the diverse aspects of Vietnamese traditions and lifestyle.
