Vietnam Inaugurates Embassy Office in Timor-Leste

Dili: The Vietnamese Embassy in Timor-Leste celebrated the inauguration of its office in the capital city, Dili, on July 15. This event marks the transition to fully functional and centralised operations, a significant milestone achieved just over three months after the embassy's establishment.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the inauguration ceremony drew the attendance of prominent figures such as Timor-Leste's Deputy Prime Minister Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, who also serves as the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Tourism and Environment. Other notable attendees included Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Bendito dos Santos Freitas, Vice Minister for ASEAN Affairs Milena Maria da Costa Rangel, and representatives from the Office of the President of Timor-Leste. The event was also graced by heads of ASEAN missions in Dili, representatives from Telemor - a subsidiary of Viettel in Timor-Leste, and members of the Vietnamese community in Timor-Leste.
