Vietnam Joins Regional Push to Advance Gender Equality

Ho chi minh city: Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to regional gender equality efforts at a consultation workshop held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 14 by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoH), in collaboration with UN Women and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Vietnam.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the workshop provided a platform for Vietnam to discuss strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing gender equality in the region. The collaboration with international organizations like UN Women and UNFPA underscores Vietnam’s dedication to addressing gender-related challenges and advancing equality efforts.

The Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized the importance of international cooperation in achieving gender equality goals. The workshop also highlighted the need for policy reforms and increased awareness to ensure equal opportunities for all genders.

This initiative is part of Vietnam’s broader efforts to align with regional and global standards on gender equality, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive society.
