Ho Chi Minh City:As part of Vietnam's enhanced digital finance defense strategy, the country is focusing on detecting fraud early, tracing stolen cash, and clawing it back. This initiative goes beyond merely blocking cyberattacks.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Col. Nguyen Ba Son, Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Public Security's Department of Cyber Security, shared details of this initiative at the Vietnam Digital Financial Security Forum 2026, which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 6.

The pilot system aims to improve Vietnam's ability to combat financial fraud effectively by identifying and recovering stolen funds. This effort represents a significant step in the country's broader digital finance security measures.
