Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has called on the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) to expand cooperation with Vietnamese research institutes and universities in training and research, contributing to the development of products that address Vietnam's major challenges and support its socio-economic development. He made the request during a field trip to the institute on September 8, part of National Assembly President Tran Thanh Man's official visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the call for enhanced collaboration highlights the strategic importance of technological cooperation between Vietnam and the RoK. By fostering partnerships with Vietnamese institutions, KIST is expected to play a role in addressing key challenges faced by Vietnam and aid in its socio-economic progress. This initiative is part of the broader efforts to strengthen ties between the two countries through education and research.
