Vietnam Seeks Stronger Anti-Corruption Cooperation With Russia: Deputy PM

Hanoi: Vietnam attaches great importance to the fight against corruption, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh affirmed during a meeting on December 3 with a visiting delegation from Russia’s Presidential Civil Service, Personnel and Anti-Corruption Directorate led by Aide to the Russian President Dmitry Mironov. Deputy PM Binh and Aide to the Russian President Dmitry Mironov witnessed the signing of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the GIV and the Presidential Civil Service, Personnel and Anti-Corruption Directorate.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored Vietnam’s commitment to intensifying its anti-corruption efforts by collaborating with international partners. The memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in preventing and combating corruption, a crucial step in enhancing transparency and accountability in both nations.

The agreement signifies a pivotal moment in the Vietnam-Russia relationship, particularly in the area of governance and public administration reform. Both parties expressed optimism about the potential outcomes of this cooperation, which could serve as a model for other countries aiming to tackle corruption effectively through international partnerships.
