Vietnam Showcases at 58th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar with Handicrafts and Charity

Bangkok: The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand played a starring role in the success of the 58th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar, a four-day charity extravaganza co-hosted by the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), the Diplomatic Spouses’ Association, and embassies in Thailand. Held from February 27-March 2 at Siam Paragon Shopping Centre in Bangkok, the event themed ‘Miracle of Giving’ united 56 embassies in Thailand to raise funds for charitable activities, with proceeds supporting the TRCS’s missions in relief efforts, welfare, medical treatment, and support for the disadvantaged and those affected by natural disasters.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnamese Embassy highlighted the country’s rich cultural heritage through a vibrant display of handicrafts, which attracted significant attention from visitors. The participation of Vietnam in this event not only showcased its cultural treasures but also emphasized its commitment to international cooperation in humanitarian efforts.

The bazaar, now in its 58th year, continues to be a vital event for mobilizing resources to aid those in need. The funds raised are directed towards various TRCS missions, ensuring that support reaches those affected by natural disasters and individuals requiring medical assistance. The collaboration of embassies, including Vietnam’s, underscores the global community’s dedication to charitable causes and the spirit of giving.
