Hanoi: An exhibition and performance programme featuring the practices of Then by people of the Tay-Thai ethnic language family opened in Vientiane on August 17. The event commemorates the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution and National Day on September 2, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Vientiane Declaration on Reinforcing Cultural Heritage Cooperation in ASEAN (2016-2026).
According to Vietnam News Agency, the exhibition aims to highlight the cultural significance of the Then rituals, which are an integral part of the Tay-Thai ethnic language family. The programme includes demonstrations and performances that showcase the unique cultural practices, providing an opportunity for attendees to gain insight into this traditional heritage.
