Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam has called upon the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology under the Ministry of Public Security to lead the way in mastering and advancing security technologies. His vision is for the academy to evolve into a national, regional, and international hub for training, scientific research, and innovation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the leader made these remarks during his visit to the academy on August 17. The visit coincided with the 81st anniversary of the traditional day of the People's Public Security Force, celebrated annually on August 19. This year also marks 21 years since the establishment of the All-People National Security Protection Day. The academy was acknowledged for its potential in shaping the future of security technologies, which are crucial for national defense and security.
