Vietnam, Spain’s Catalonia Step Up Cooperation in Public Auditing

Hanoi: The State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) is seeking to deepen cooperation with the Public Audit Office of Catalonia (Spain) through increased exchange of professional delegations and sharing of expertise in areas of mutual interest and strength. At a recent working session with the Public Audit Office of Catalonia, Deputy Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, Ha Thi My Dung, emphasized that such collaboration could be promoted via expert exchanges, participation in training courses, and joint workshops hosted by both sides.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative aims to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of public auditing practices in both regions. By fostering a relationship of mutual learning and support, Vietnam and Catalonia hope to address common challenges in public sector auditing and governance. The collaboration is expected to facilitate a deeper understanding of each region’s best practices and innovative approaches to auditing, ultimately leading to improved transparency and accountability in public financial management.
