Colombo: The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Vietravel and the Hayleys Group, organized a tourism promotion event in Colombo on the evening of July 31. The event successfully attracted participation from over 100 companies spanning the tourism, aviation, and hospitality sectors.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this initiative is part of Vietnam's strategic efforts to bolster tourism ahead of the launch of direct flights to Sri Lanka. The collaboration with prominent local and international companies highlights the commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries and enhancing mutual tourism opportunities. As both Vietnamese and Sri Lankan enterprises explore potential partnerships, the direct flight route is expected to facilitate increased tourist traffic and economic interaction between the nations.
