Phnom Penh:Vietnam has proposed the creation of task forces in each country to address complex transnational scam operations.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, introduced this proposal at the 2026 International Conference on Combating Online Scams (ICCOS-2026) held on September 23. The conference, hosted in Phnom Penh, saw the participation of delegations from 27 countries, six international organizations, and about 500 delegates.

The proposal aims to enhance the effectiveness of international cooperation in verifying, investigating, and managing these intricate scam networks.
