Vietnam Targets Completion of Nearly One Million Social Housing Units by 2030

Hanoi: Vietnam aims to complete 995,445 social housing apartments between 2025 and 2030, as outlined in the Prime Minister’s decision regarding social housing criteria in local socio-economic development plans. This initiative is part of a larger project approved by the Prime Minister to construct at least one million affordable “social housing” units for low-income earners and workers in industrial parks during the 2021-2030 period.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the project’s target is to complete approximately 1,062,200 housing units across various localities by 2030. This effort seeks to contribute to political stability, ensure social security, and foster the development of civilised and modern urban and rural areas throughout the country.
