Vientiane:Lao Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung in Vientiane following a welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese leader, who is on a two-day official visit to Laos.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions between the two leaders were followed by the signing of 11 cooperation documents covering a range of areas including security, justice, finance, energy, education and training, ethnic and religious affairs, and collaboration between localities.

Additionally, they participated in a handover ceremony for a data and citizen identification center project and inaugurated the Laos-Vietnam Friendship University project, marking significant steps in the partnership between the two countries.
