Hanoi:General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam has called on the Vietnamese community in Canada to bolster national solidarity and preserve Vietnamese cultural values. He emphasized the importance of their contributions to national development and their role as a bridge between Vietnam and Canada.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these remarks were made during a meeting with Vietnamese Embassy officials, staff, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Canada on the evening of September 25.

The meeting highlighted the recent decision to upgrade Vietnam-Canada relations to a Strategic Partnership, further underscoring the importance of the community's active involvement in fostering closer ties between the two nations.
