Hanoi: Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang held talks with his Indonesian counterpart Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin in Hanoi on July 30. The meeting was part of Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin’s official visit to Vietnam from July 29 to 30.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions between the two defence ministers focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in defence and security. Both sides expressed their commitment to enhancing military ties and exploring new areas of collaboration to maintain regional stability.
The meeting highlighted the importance of defence cooperation in addressing common challenges and promoting peace and security in the region. Both ministers agreed to continue working closely on initiatives that would benefit both nations and contribute to broader regional peace efforts.
