New York:General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam has suggested four major orientations to manage global change effectively. According to Vietnam News Agency, To Lam's proposals aim to ensure that competition does not escalate into confrontation, differences do not lead to conflict, and advancements in science and technology do not result in new divisions.

He presented these suggestions during his address at the high-level general debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held at the UN headquarters in New York on September 22.
