Phnom penh: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam had a meeting with Honorary President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) Heng Samrin in Phnom Penh on February 6. The event was part of General Secretary Lam's state visit to Cambodia, where he also co-chaired the meeting between the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee and the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee, along with the meeting among the three Party leaders of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos in Phnom Penh.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions between General Secretary Lam and Honorary President Samrin focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Cambodia. The engagement was also seen as a platform to enhance cooperation among the three neighboring countries, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, amid regional and international developments.

The meeting underscored the commitment of both parties to foster political ties and collaboration in various sectors. The leaders emphasized the importance of mutual support and cooperation to promote stability and development in the region.
