Hanoi: A six-member team from the University of Natural Sciences under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), is marking a historic participation in the Global HackAtom 2026 finals held in Russia. This prestigious event, scheduled from September 11-17, sees Vietnam competing for the first time in a major international nuclear technology and atomic energy competition.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnamese team has joined top contenders from nations such as Brazil, Turkey, Serbia, Egypt, South Africa, and Indonesia in Yekaterinburg. The finals coincide with the 2026 International Youth Festival, creating a platform for young talents worldwide to showcase their innovations and skills in nuclear technology. The participation of Vietnam underscores its growing involvement and interest in advanced scientific competitions on the global stage.
