Verdun:Vietnam's Tan-Viet VIFON Group has signed an agreement to acquire an eight-hectare site in Verdun, located in the Meuse department of northeastern France, for the development of a food processing factory and logistics centre. This initiative involves an initial investment of 20 million EUR, equivalent to approximately 22.4 million USD.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this project represents a strategic shift in VIFON's approach to the European market, transitioning from merely exporting products to directly manufacturing and distributing them within the region. The development is being carried out by VIFON FRANCE SAS, which was established in September 2026, at the Les Souhesmes business park.
The planned facility will cover 80,000 square metres and include administrative headquarters, a food processing plant, and a modern logistics system. This will support production, storage, and distribution efforts not only in France but also across the European Union.
