Vinh long: The People's Committee of Vinh Long province convened a conference on March 12 to boost trade and investment linkages between the Mekong Delta province and the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Daejeon city. Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son said the event builds on the momentum from the successful investment promotion trip to Daejeon in October last year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference aimed at enhancing collaboration in key sectors between Vinh Long and Daejeon. The event highlighted the opportunities for Korean investors in sectors such as agriculture, technology, and infrastructure within the province.
Nguyen Truc Son emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening these ties with Daejeon, following the positive outcomes of the previous year's investment promotion activities. The move is seen as a continuation of efforts to attract Korean businesses and capital to Vinh Long, potentially leading to economic growth and development in the region.
Representatives from both regions participated in discussions to explore potential projects and collaborations. The meeting underscored the mutual benefits of increased investment and trade activities, setting the stage for future partnerships.
