Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to take the lead in researching and mastering core, key technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud, IoT, and 5G/6G, and ensuring cybersecurity, while attending its 80th traditional day on September 6. On this occasion, VNPT was awarded with the “Hero of Labour” title. This is the second time that VNPT has been honoured with this prestigious title.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of VNPT’s role in the technological advancement and digital transformation of Vietnam. He urged the group to continue its efforts in innovation and to contribute significantly to the country’s socio-economic development. The award of the “Hero of Labour” title is a testament to VNPT’s contributions and achievements in the telecommunications sector.

VNPT’s leadership in these technological areas is seen as crucial for the nation as it navigates the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital era.
