Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son – Kiep Bac Complex Recognised as World Culture Heritage

Paris: The Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son – Kiep Bac Relics and Landscape Complex has been recognised as a World Culture Heritage site. In the afternoon of July 12 (Paris time), at the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Professor Nikolay Nenov, Chairman of the Session, officially knocked the hammer to recognise the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son – Kiep Bac Relics and Landscape Complex as a World Cultural Heritage site.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this recognition highlights the cultural significance of the complex, which is renowned for its historical and spiritual importance. The decision was made during a session that brought together experts and representatives from around the world to discuss and evaluate sites for their unique contributions to global heritage.

The Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son – Kiep Bac complex is noted for its rich historical context, being associated with significant historical figures and events. It is also recognized for its contribution to the cultural and religious tapestry of the region, attracting numerous visitors and pilgrims. This recognition by UNESCO is expected to further boost the site’s profile and bring increased attention to its preservation and promotion.
