Chinese man files police report, claims Chinese men broke into his house, extorted 10 million and kidnapped his sister

Chonburi, A Chinese man reported to the Nong Prue Police Station in Chonburi Province, claiming that a group of Chinese men broke into his house, tied his hands and feet, and extorted 10 million baht before kidnapping his younger sister. Police found suspicious circumstances because they found information that his younger sister had already flown out of Thailand.

Police from Nongprue Police Station, Chonburi Province, along with Tourist Police and Immigration Police, inspected the scene after receiving a report of a robbery at a house in a luxury village. The house was a two-story single-family home with an area of ??approximately 60-80 square wah.

At the scene, Mr. Qian, 34 years old, Chinese nationality, the owner of the house, was found waiting to give a statement to the police. Mr. Qian was in a state of shock. His wrists and ankles had signs of being strangled with plastic cable ties. Inside the house, signs of a search of the property on both the ground floor and second floor were found. Important evi
dence was the plastic cable ties that had fallen all over the kitchen floor. The police collected them as evidence.

Mr. Qian said that he had been in Thailand for about a year, hoping to start a family and invest in a business in Thailand. Before the incident at around 9 pm last night (July 17, 2014), 2-3 Chinese male assailants broke into his house. At that time, he was playing a game on the mezzanine floor of the house. One of the 3 assailants pulled out a gun and pointed it at him, forcing him into the bedroom. Then, he used plastic cable ties to tie his hands and feet, covered his mouth with a cloth, and wrapped tape around his head before forcing him to lie on the bed and threatening to transfer 10 million baht into the assailants’ account. If he did not comply, he would kill his younger sister, who was his cousin, Ms. Tu, 33 years old, who was sleeping on the 2nd floor of the house. Then, the assailants walked out of the bedroom as if they were going to rummage through his belongings.

After 1 hour, th
e perpetrators still tried to force him to transfer 3 million baht into the account first, but he refused to do so. He took the opportunity when the perpetrators were not paying attention and tried to struggle with all his might until the wires around his wrists came loose. He then ran away from the house. At that time, his sister was still in the house. He hid nearby and observed the house. He saw the group of perpetrators walk out of the house and take his sister into the car. He therefore quickly contacted someone he knew and went to file a report at around midnight.

Initially, it was found that the laptop computer, mobile phone, and iPad were missing. Now I am very worried about my sister, so I would like the police to help track her down and bring her back.

After the police inspected the scene and checked the CCTV cameras around the scene, they initially believed that the incident really happened. However, they found some suspicious points because when they checked the list of names of Ms. Tu, the cous
in whom the victim claimed to have seen the group of abducted, it was found that Ms. Tu left Thailand at around 1 a.m. today (July 18, 2014). Therefore, this case must be thoroughly investigated.
