Contest Connects Youth, Fosters Green Growth Future for Vietnam-Denmark Relations

Hanoi: As part of activities marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Denmark, the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark, in coordination with Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College and Vietnam's Nguyen Sieu Secondary School, recently organised a public speaking and debate contest on Vietnam's green growth future. The initiative marked the embassy's first outreach programme introducing Vietnam to Danish students, combined with cultural exchanges that drew strong participation from students and teachers. As part of the broader 'Discover Vietnam' series for Danish students, the embassy also organised the 'Taste of Vietnam' programme, bringing images of a dynamic, sustainable and culturally rich Vietnam closer to Danish youth, and inspiring greater interest, understanding and connection between the two countries' younger generations.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the contest aimed to strengthen the cultural and educational ties between Vietnam and Denmark by engaging the youth in meaningful dialogue about sustainable development. It provided a platform for students to voice their thoughts and ideas on green growth, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and solutions. The event was not only an educational experience but also a cultural exchange, highlighting Vietnam's commitment to sustainability and its desire to build a robust relationship with Denmark.

The 'Taste of Vietnam' programme, part of the 'Discover Vietnam' series, further enriched the cultural experience by showcasing Vietnam's vibrant culture and sustainable practices. It offered Danish students a glimpse into Vietnam's traditions and innovations, enhancing their appreciation for the country's cultural richness and environmental initiatives. By engaging young people from both nations, these initiatives are expected to lay the groundwork for a future of cooperation and mutual respect between Vietnam and Denmark.
