Da Nang: The Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) under the University of Da Nang signed a cooperation agreement with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) on April 10 to cultivate skilled software professionals and facilitate their placement within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The collaboration leverages the robust infrastructure and networks of both sides to advance software talent development in Vietnam. Through seminars, mentorship programmes, job fairs, and employment networking activities, they seek to elevate the expertise of software technology experts, effectively bridging the gap between academic training and industry demands.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this initiative aims to address the growing need for qualified software professionals in the country, which is experiencing rapid technological advancement and a burgeoning digital economy. By aligning academic curricula with industry requirements, VKU and KOSME are set to create a skilled workforce that meets the expectations of modern businesses.
The cooperation agreement outlines several key activities, including the organization of workshops and training sessions designed to enhance the skills of software students. These programmes are specifically tailored to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge, equipping students with the tools necessary to thrive in a competitive job market.
Moreover, the partnership will facilitate job fairs and employment networking activities, providing students with direct access to potential employers. This approach not only aids in the immediate placement of graduates but also fosters long-term relationships between the university and industry players, ensuring a continuous feedback loop for curriculum improvement.
The collaboration between VKU and KOSME is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Vietnam’s software industry by producing a new generation of experts who are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the digital age. By fostering an environment of innovation and learning, the agreement promises to contribute significantly to the country’s socio-economic development.
