Deputy PM Meets ASEAN Secretary-General

Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son met with ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn in Hanoi. At the meeting, Son praised the Secretary-General’s participation in the second ASEAN Future Forum (AFF 2025) in Vietnam’s capital, highlighting his valuable contributions to the success of the event.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the engagement between Son and Kao Kim Hourn underscored the importance of collaborative efforts within the ASEAN community. The meeting served as a platform for discussing future cooperation and strengthening ties between Vietnam and the ASEAN Secretariat. During the discussions, both leaders emphasized the necessity of enhancing regional integration and addressing common challenges faced by member countries.

The presence of the ASEAN Secretary-General at the AFF 2025 was seen as a significant step in promoting regional dialogue and cooperation.
