Eight Rare Animals Released Into The Wild In Dong Nai Province

Dong nai: Eight rare wild animals have been released back into nature at Bu Gia Map National Park in the southern province of Dong Nai since the beginning of this year. The species include three Macaca fascicularis (long-tailed macaques), three Nycticebus pygmaeus (pygmy slow lorises), one Python reticulatus (reticulated python), and one Manis javanica (Javan pangolin).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the release of these animals marks a significant effort in wildlife conservation and biodiversity preservation in the region. The initiative aims to restore the natural habitat and ensure the survival of these species, which play a crucial role in the ecosystem.

The long-tailed macaques, known for their adaptability, are expected to thrive in the park's diverse environment. Pygmy slow lorises, nocturnal primates, are also anticipated to benefit from the dense forest cover. The reticulated python, a large non-venomous snake, and the Javan pangolin, a critically endangered species, will contribute to the ecological balance in their new habitat.

Bu Gia Map National Park has been actively involved in conservation projects, working with local and international organizations to protect endangered species and their habitats. The park's efforts are part of a broader strategy to combat wildlife trafficking and promote sustainable environmental practices.
