Hanoi: Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung had a bilateral meeting with High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas on the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM-59) and related meetings in the Philippines on July 23.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen diplomatic ties and discuss matters of mutual interest between Vietnam and the European Union. Both leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration in areas of trade, security, and regional stability. The discussions also covered the need for continued dialogue and cooperation within the ASEAN framework to address regional challenges.
