Foreign friends join hands in supporting Typhoon Yagi’s victims in Vietnam

More donation drives were launched by Vietnamese embassies and organisations abroad to support typhoon Yagi victims in the homeland. In response to the drives, the Kanto Joho union of Japan on September 14 launched a fund-raising event to give aids to Typhoon Yagi’s victims in Vietnam. The event, the first by Japanese people for Yagi’s Vietnamese victims, raised some 200,000 JPY, on the day. The number of dead and missing victims due to Typhoon Yagi and subsequent flooding rose to 345 as of 8am September 14, including 262 fatalities.
