The Department of Highways has prepared officials to monitor the flood situation and provide assistance to those affected until the situation improves. For the flood and landslide situation on highways on 27 August 2024, it was found that 4 provinces of highways were flooded: Chiang Rai, Phrae, Uttaradit, and Sukhothai (7 routes, 18 locations). Traffic is impassable in 16 locations as follows: 7 locations in Chiang Rai Province Highway No. 1093 Khun Huai Khrai - Pha Tang, at km. 46+430 - 46+460 in Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai Province, a landslide occurred, causing the road s urface to collapse. There is no alternative route.
