HCM City: HCM City’s tourism sector experienced a breakthrough in the first two months of 2025, with revenue exceeding 37.4 trillion VND (1.46 billion USD), a year-on-year increase of 30.2%. International visitors reached more than 1 million, up 15.7%, while domestic tourists rose to nearly 5.6 million, an 8.3% increase. Looking ahead, the industry will focus on potential tourism offerings such as waterway tourism and promote the city’s tourism image on LED screens at city gateways, Tan Son Nhat Airport, and tourist hotspots.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this significant growth in tourism revenue and visitor numbers highlights the city’s successful efforts in enhancing its appeal to both international and domestic tourists. By strategically promoting its attractions and improving infrastructure, HCM City has positioned itself as a leading tourist destination in the region.
The city’s tourism authorities are planning to capitalize on this momentum by developing new tourism products and experiences. Waterway tourism is identified as a key area of potential growth, offering visitors unique perspectives of the city’s landscape and cultural history. Additionally, the use of LED screens at strategic locations aims to attract more visitors by showcasing the diverse attractions and cultural heritage of HCM City.
