Ho Chi Minh City Launches Eight Key Projects Worth 9.6 Bln USD

Hanoi: Ho Chi Minh City on July 1 simultaneously broke ground on eight major infrastructure projects worth more than 253 trillion VND (9.6 billion USD) to mark the 50th anniversary of Saigon-Gia Dinh officially being named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976-2026).

According to Vietnam News Agency, these projects are part of a strategic initiative to enhance the city's infrastructure and boost economic development. The investments are expected to improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and support the rapid urbanization of the region.

The projects include new roads, bridges, and public transportation networks designed to accommodate the growing population and expand the city's capabilities. Officials have emphasized the importance of these developments in keeping pace with the city's dynamic growth and ensuring sustainable urban planning.
