“Kan Chom Phalang” storms the Royal Thai Army to ask for help in solving the case of a military sergeant who was shot and killed.

The Army has arranged for a military lawyer to follow up on the investigation process to help the families of soldiers who were shot and killed. Meanwhile, 'Kan Jom Phalang' brought relatives to request care from the Army, hoping to resolve their doubts. Mr. Kanthas Pongpaiboonwet (Kan Jom Phalang) traveled to the Royal Thai Army Headquarters to take relatives of Sergeant Major Rojanaphon, who died from being shot at an entertainment venue in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and gave an interview stating that relatives of the deceased had come to ask for help from him after learning that the perpetrator who shot Sergeant Major Rojanaphon was an influential figure in the area and had been granted bail. This resulted in a feeling of injustice because the incident was a violent one, a shooting that left one person dead, two seriously injured, and one slightly injured. This raised questions about why someone who committed such a violent act was still granted bail, or if the perpetrator had connections to the autho rities. Kan Chom Phalang revealed that he had contacted Pol. Lt. Gen. Naiwat Phademchit, Commander of Provincial Police Region 7, that the family of the deceased felt uncomfortable with the police handling the case. Pol. Lt. Gen. Naiwat therefore changed the police officers handling the case for the peace of mind of the relatives of the deceased. In addition, there were suspicions that someone had removed the CCTV cameras at the scene, leading to questions about whether evidence was being hidden or an attempt was made to help someone. Were the police at the scene? And did they stop the incident? In terms of taking care of the military personnel and the families of the deceased, Kan Jom Phalang has coordinated with General Thanapat Niyakul, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, who has then coordinated with General Charoenchai Hinthao, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army. He was informed that the Legal Affairs Division and the commanders of the Royal Thai Army have been coordinated to provide assistance to the families of the soldiers, especially in terms of security. Kan Jom Phalang stated that the various actions taken by the Royal Thai Army are in a good direction and he is confident that the concerns of the families of the deceased will definitely be resolved. Initially, it was learned that from this trip, Lt. Col. Paratana Chuenkhrob, assigned to the Royal Thai Army Secretariat (Head of the Secretariat of the Royal Thai Army Secretariat), has already received the matter to proceed with the next steps. Lt. Gen. Anupap Sirimondol, Director-General of the Army Civil Affairs Department/Army Spokesperson, revealed that after the incident, the Commander of the Infantry Center talked to the family to give encouragement, and provided assistance in arranging the funeral ceremony. He also provided initial financial assistance of 50,000 baht to help the family of the soldier. At the same time, he assigned the unit's legal officer to coordinate and closely monitor the investigation process with the police officers to ensure justice for those affected and to prosecute the perpetrators as soon as possible. This is in line with the Army Commander's policy, which places importance on taking care of the deceased army personnel to ensure that they receive their rights and assistance as soon as possible Source: Thai News Agency
