Aug 30 - 'Kong' Somkiat Chantra made history as the first Thai MotoGP rider to compete in a full season in 2025 after signing a contract with Honda LCR. "Kong" Somkiat Chantra, a 25-year-old Thai rider, has officially signed a contract to move up to compete in MotoGP with Honda LCR from the 2025 season onwards, making new history as the first Thai MotoGP rider to compete in the "Premier Class" World Motorcycle Road Racing Championship. Kong will step up to MotoGP in the 2025 season to work with Johann Zarco, a great French rider. Kong Somkiat said that he is very excited to join the Honda LCR team. The move up to MotoGP is a dream and finally he has made it come true. He would like to thank all sponsors, Thai fans and everyone who has supported him since the beginning of his career as a racer.
