Meteorological Department warns of heavy rain in many areas from 13-17 September.

The Meteorological Department warns that heavy to very heavy rain will occur in many areas from 13-17 September, while the tropical storm ‘Bebinca’, which is expected to make landfall in China, has not yet affected Thailand.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, Issue 3, that there will be more and heavier rain during 13-17 September in many areas of the Northeast, Central, East, and the West Coast of the South. Accumulated rain may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially in hilly areas.

Provinces expected to experience heavy to very heavy rain today (13 Sep 2024) in the North: Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun. In the Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Nong Bua Lamphu, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Roi Et, Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani.

While the tropical storm ‘Bebinca’ is expected to make landfall in China, it has not yet affected Thailand,
but we still need to monitor it continuously until September 22 in the North and Northeast. In the surrounding areas, in addition to heavy rain, there will also be high sea levels, which may cause flooding and water waiting to be drained. Thailand will still have continuous rain during September 18-22.
