NA Standing Committee Focuses on Draft Law Amendments and Five-Year Plans

Hanoi: The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee convened its 56th session on the afternoon of April 1 at the National Assembly House. Delivering the opening remarks, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the session will deliberate on a range of important issues, including the draft law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Social Insurance. During the session, the committee will also review the key five-year plans for the 2026-2030 period, including the socio-economic development plan, the national finance and public debt management plan, and the medium-term public investment plan.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the session is expected to address significant legislative updates and strategic plans that are crucial for the country's development. The draft law on social insurance is of particular importance as it aims to improve the welfare system. The discussions on the five-year plans will focus on setting the direction for sustainable socio-economic growth and efficient management of national finances and investments.
