New Zealand Parliament Speaker Arrives in Hanoi for Official Visit to Vietnam

Hanoi: Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives, Gerry Brownlee, arrived in Hanoi on August 27, marking the start of his five-day official visit to Vietnam. This visit is conducted at the invitation of Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man. Brownlee and his delegation were received at Noi Bai International Airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Caroline Rachel Beresford, and other officials from the embassy.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit underscores the strengthening ties between New Zealand and Vietnam. Brownlee’s agenda includes meetings with key Vietnamese leaders to discuss bilateral cooperation across various sectors, reflecting the growing partnership between the two nations. The visit is expected to enhance diplomatic and economic relations, with a focus on mutual interests and collaboration.
