Yesterday (13 September), at Sai Lom Joy Market near the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge 1, officials found a body of one person, gender unknown, submerged in mud while using a backhoe to remove mud from the road.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported that between August 16 and September 14, 2024, there were flash floods and mudslides in 28 provinces, resulting in 34 deaths from floods and landslides and 24 injuries.

Currently, there is still a situation in 10 provinces, with Chiang Rai Province experiencing flooding in 6 districts, affecting 45,329 households, with 4 deaths and 2 injuries. Water levels are decreasing.
