Party Chief Highlights Role of Vietnam War Veterans’ Association at 7th Patriotic Emulation Congress.

Hanoi: Party General Secretary To Lam attended the 7th patriotic emulation congress of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association (VWVA), as well as a ceremony celebrating the 35th anniversary of the association’s founding, held in Hanoi on December 4. During his address, the Party chief emphasized the association’s critical role in representing the will and interests of war veterans, noting its contributions to the national building and defense efforts. He affirmed that the association’s efforts have earned the trust of the Party, State, Army, and people.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the congress and anniversary celebration marked significant milestones for the VWVA. Established on December 6, 1989, the association has spent the past 35 years fostering solidarity among war veterans and promoting their active participation in national development. The congress served as a platform for veterans to share experiences and strategies, further enhancing their contributions to the country’s progress.
