Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Receives More Endangered Sunda Pangolins

Phong nha: Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has welcomed two additional Sunda pangolins, also known as Manis Javanica, which were voluntarily handed over by local residents for care and rescue on July 3. The Centre for Creature Rescue, Conservation and Development, based within the park, is responsible for the care of these pangolins.

According to Vietnam News Agency, one of the pangolins was found by a resident of Xa Vi hamlet in Huong Hiep commune, Quang Tri province, while he was traveling on the road. He promptly handed it over to the relevant authorities. The second pangolin was discovered in a farm garden located in Troi hamlet, Thuong Trach commune, Quang Tri province. Both pangolins have been received by the center, which continues its efforts in the rescue and conservation of endangered species.
