Phu Tho Engages German Bank in Wastewater Treatment Plan for Da River’s Left Bank

Phu tho: Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho People's Committee Quach Tat Liem chaired a meeting on August 20 with a visiting delegation from Germany's KfW Development Bank to discuss the implementation of Hoa Binh's drainage and wastewater treatment system project. This project is funded by ODA loans from KfW and is being implemented in the former Hoa Binh city, now known as Hoa Binh ward. It has a total investment of 688.7 billion VND (26.38 million USD), which includes 507.3 billion VND in ODA and 181.4 billion VND in counterpart funding.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the major components of the project include the establishment of a wastewater treatment plant, construction of pumping stations, a collection network, and necessary connection infrastructure. These developments are aimed at addressing the wastewater management issues in the region, ensuring better environmental and public health standards.
