PM Attends Ground-Breaking Ceremony of Hanoi’s Rental Housing, Metro Line Projects

Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on June 22 attended a ground-breaking ceremony for three large-scale rental housing projects and five metro line projects in Hanoi, marking a major step forward in the capital city's infrastructure and social welfare development agenda. The ceremony, organised by the Hanoi People's Committee, was held in a hybrid format, combining an in-person event with online connections to three project sites across the city.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these projects are expected to significantly enhance the living standards of Hanoi's residents by providing affordable housing options and improving the city's public transportation system. The rental housing projects aim to address the growing demand for affordable living spaces, whereas the metro line projects are part of a broader strategy to reduce traffic congestion and promote sustainable urban development.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of these infrastructure projects in fostering economic growth and improving the quality of life in Hanoi. The Hanoi People's Committee, as the organizer of the event, highlighted the collaborative efforts between government bodies and private sectors in bringing these projects to fruition.

These initiatives are seen as a pivotal move in Hanoi's long-term development plan, with the potential to set a benchmark for future infrastructure projects in other urban areas of Vietnam. The ceremony underscored the government's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its urban population through strategic investments in key sectors.
